The problem
Running a rental property involves much more than tracking who occupies which room. Property operators need to keep track of properties, floors, rooms, beds, guests, rent, pending dues, documents, staff, and day-to-day operations. For smaller and growing operators, much of this is often managed through spreadsheets, registers, and disconnected processes. As the number of rooms and guests increases, this creates a familiar set of problems: difficulty knowing current occupancy, manual rent and dues tracking, scattered guest information, complicated shared-room and per-bed management, limited visibility across multiple properties, and time spent maintaining spreadsheets and registers.
The solution
genXarc built genXstay, a property management platform designed specifically for PG, hostel, co-living, and rental-home operators. Instead of managing separate spreadsheets for different parts of the operation, genXstay brings the core property workflow into a single dashboard. The product was designed around the actual operational structure of rental properties: a property contains floors, floors contain rooms, rooms may contain multiple beds, and beds may have different occupants and pricing. Guests have stays, documents, requests, and financial records. Instead of forcing operators to adapt their workflow to a generic CRM or accounting application, genXstay models these relationships directly — and is designed so properties, rooms, beds, and guests can be added progressively as an operator grows, rather than requiring a complicated setup up front.
